Car Wrap Care
Care for your vehicle graphics and car wrap like you would any fine paint finish.
- After Vinyl Wrap Installation make sure to keep the vehicle in the sun for at least 24 hours before going through a car wash.
- Wash Regularly whenever the car appears dirty. Rinse off as much dirt and grit as possible with a spray of water. Use a wet non-abrasive detergent and a soft clean cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly. To reduce spotting immediately wipe with a silicone squeegee or microfiber cloth.
- Automated Car Washes may be used on vinyl wraps. Touch-less car washes are the best for wraps & graphic care. Use of brush car washes, depending on the frequency and quality of brush, may cause dulling/scratching/lifting of the edge of the graphics.
- Pressure Washing Although hand washing is the preferred cleaning method, pressure washing may be used under these conditions: Keep water pressure below 2000 psi, Keep temperature below 180 degrees, Use a 40 degree wide angle spray nozzle, Keep the nozzle at least 1 ft away from and perpendicular to the graphic.
- Difficult Contaminants such as bug splatter, bird droppings, tree sap, and similar contaminants are best cleaned if softened first with very hot soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools as these will scratch the film. Wash and rinse off all residue.
- Fuel Spills wipe off immediately to avoid degrading the vinyl and adhesive. Then wash, rinse, and dry as usual.
- Quality Check for full wraps or if instructed by our installers, return to our office/shop location 2 weeks after installation so we can inspect the wrap for any problem spots and make any needed adjustments.
